Get a Job

Tonight in the car Noah asked, "Mom what is your favorite thing to do?"
To which I replied, "Be a mom."
Noah - "But, what do you want to do when you grow up?"
Me - "How about be a grandma?"
Noah - "No. I mean like work. Like go to work."
Me - "Hmmm. Maybe a librarian or a teacher?"
Noah - "No! I mean you have to learn a lot of stuff and it's hard. How about a doctor?"
Me - "Nah, I think doctor stuff is gross."
Noah - Exasperated, turns the conversation to Jared. "Dad you are gonna be a emergency doctor, huh? Not like a regular doctor who gives shots, aren't you Dad? And when there's an emergency you're gonna cut people's stomachs open and then put them back, huh Dad?"

Easter Pics

Jared took the kids & Josie to Bridal Veil on Monday while I stayed home and painted :(.

Spring has Sprung

and just in time for Easter weekend. So perfect.

Home Again, Home Again

We are so excited about heading back to Charlottesville for the next chapter of our lives. We feel strongly that the Lord had a hand in our match and it's going to be a great 3 years. Besides the obvious (the Dudley clan) there are soooooo many things we LOVE about C'ville...
Christian's Pizza (we have yet to find pizza that good in SLC)
Strolls on the Downtown Mall
The Green Valley Book Fair
Trick or Treating on The Lawn
Sunday drives along the Shenandoah Parkway
Arch's Frozen Yogurt
Monticello, Montpelier, Ash Lawn, Mount Vernon (all with an hour or so)
The list could go on and on, so I thought I would share a few visuals for those of you unfamiliar with Charlottesville (I may gotten a little out of hand - it was hard to just choose a couple).

We expect all of you to come visit :).

It's the night before match day and we are going crazy! In less than 12 hours we'll know where we will call home for the next 3 years. None of us can sit still. Jared went to a late movie with Christina since he knew he wouldn't be able to get to sleep. I've been busy all afternoon prepping and painting doors and baseboards. I'm so tired, but my mind is going a million miles an hour. I ended up on itunes and downloaded some new songs.

Since I still can't go to bed I thought I'd share my finds:
Brendan Benson's What I'm Looking For
Yael Naim's New Soul
Sheryl Crow's Love is Free
I Will Follow You Into the Dark by Death Cab for Cutie

Tagged: To Do List

Jennifer "tagged" me and I'm supposed to share 5 items on my to-do list...

1-mail care package to Mom & Dad (oh how I avoid the post office)
2-sweep & mop
3-buy Gwen new church shoes (I've colored in the scuff marks with a Sharpie for long enough)
4-visiting teaching
5-find the best deal on tickets to Hawaii for our week long, family trip to Kauai in May - WOOHOO!

Okay, I tag: Julie & Livy, my sisters, Sue, my caferio & cvillegals girls... let's just see who really reads this blog :).

A quick tribute

To my Dad. This is his big week - the bone marrow transplant. I can't seem to find any words to express my love for him and my anxiety over his illness. So I just pray. And if you have an extra minute this week, you can too.

I can thank him for my already graying hair.

At my wedding.

The current hot rod.

Just a few years ago.

This is a terrible picture of him, but check out my outift! Man, I wish I still had that hat!

Love you Dad.

Bringing Sexy Back

This picture really speaks for itself. Jared inherited this suit when his dear uncle passed away in January. He is threatening to wear it to graduation.
